FEMME MAISON

Fall/Winter 2016-17

Femme Maison is an ironic commentary on women’s place in society. The concept, inspired by Louise Bourgeois’ imagery, resonates in collection’s playful reinterpretation of forms and motives associated with kitchen as a proper place for woman. It’s ready-to-wear-outside-of-home collection but with aprons, flounces and home appliances. Subversion is a power move in gender game.

Femme Maison” movie, directed by Wojciech Tubaja, starring Julia Kijowska, is a crazy postmodern story with iconic artworks recreated with things you can find at home, driven by a powerful message, that whatever woman does at home it’s always art.
