22. ARCHIVE // SS 2025
To mark Acephala’s 10th anniversary, we returned to the archive, revisiting the prints, silhouettes and details that have shaped the brand’s visual language. Using only materials already in the studio, we created a collection from stored fabrics, larger cuts and irregular production offcuts, carefully sorted by colour and composition. This process resulted in five series of one-of-a-kind patchwork Cuban shirts, combining prints from seven different collections, alongside Tatlin-inspired patchwork T-shirts made from the smallest remaining scraps. We also revived archival forms, reworking earlier silhouettes into new pieces: a black silk dress recalling our debut collection, hand-textured shirts reviving a technique from our third collection, and ruched bombers reinterpreting the MSTEDDYGIRL collection. The campaign was photographed in our studio, among cutting tables, dress forms and fabric boxes, grounding the images in the place where everything is made. Part of the collection premiered in Brussels during the Eastbound Fashion Show, followed by a showroom presentation at Quadrat boutique during Berlin Fashion Week.
